Norman Stout

Chief Executive Officer and President

Norman Stout joined EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. on August 13, 2010 as Chief Executive Officer and President.  Mr. Stout brings over 20 years of technology experience to the position.

Mr. Stout currently serves as Chairman of the Hypercom Corp. Board of Directors and was Executive Chairman of the company in 2008 and 2009. Mr. Stout also sits on the board of Mitel Networks Corp.

Mr. Stout served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Inter-Tel, Inc., a Phoenix-based business communications provider, until August 2007, when Inter-Tel was acquired by Mitel. Mr. Stout joined Inter-Tel in June 1998, and in addition to CEO he also served as its Chief Strategy Officer, President of Software and Services, and Chief Administrative Officer.

Immediately prior to Inter-Tel, Mr. Stout served as Chief Operating Officer of Oldcastle Architectural Products in 1998, President of Oldcastle Architectural West from 1996 to 1998, and President of Oldcastle's Superlite Block subsidiary from 1993 to 1998. Mr. Stout was Chief Executive Officer of Boorhem-Fields, Inc., a Dallas, Texas manufacturer of crushed stone, from 1990 to 1993, and its Chief Financial Officer from 1986 to 1990.

Mr. Stout is a Certified Public Accountant, and was employed by Coopers & Lybrand from 1982 to 1986. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jana Bell was appointed CFO effective March 2005. Prior to joining EF Johnson Technologies, Inc., Ms. Bell served as president and CEO of Simple Products Inc., an early stage developer of innovative handset and network technologies for the disposable wireless market from January 2003 until February 2005. Ms. Bell served as CEO, president and a director of @TRACK Communications, Inc., a provider of integrated wireless voice, data and location technologies from September of 1998 until September of 2002. From June of 1998 until September of 1998, Ms. Bell served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of @TRACK. From March 1992 to June 1998, Ms. Bell was employed in a variety of capacities by AT&T Wireless Services and by its predecessors, LIN Broadcasting and McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Southwest region. Ms. Bell practiced public accounting for Ernst & Young LLP, last serving as an audit manager and is a certified public accountant. Ms. Bell holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Ed Pierson

Vice President, Performance Excellence and Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Performance Excellence, Ed Pierson is responsible for managing the Information Management and Technology Operations, the Quality Operations, and driving the focus on excellence within EFJI. Prior to joining the Company, Ed most recently served as SVP of Operations and CIO of Healthvision. Before Healthvision he was vice president of operations and customer support for Divine Managed Services. He has also held positions with Novell as corporate business strategist and senior IT operations positions with Alcatel and Occidental Chemical. Ed has a BS in Engineering from Texas A&M and a MS degree in Management from UT Dallas.

Elaine Flud Rodriguez

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Elaine Flud Rodriguez has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Company since March 17, 2008, and was appointed Secretary on March 19, 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Rodriguez served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of CLST Holdings, Inc. (formerly known as CellStar Corporation) from 1993 until May 18, 2007, when she resigned as an officer of the company in conjunction with the sale of substantially all of the company’s assets. Ms. Rodriguez remained employed by CLST Holdings, Inc. as an at-will employee until her resignation on August 7, 2007. From October 1991 to August 1993, she was General Counsel and Secretary of Zoecon Corporation, a pesticide manufacturer and distributor owned by Sandoz Ltd. Prior thereto, she was engaged in the private practice of law with Atlas & Hall and Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. Ms. Rodriguez is licensed to practice law in the states of Texas and Louisiana. Ms. Rodriguez holds a BA in Communications from Loyola University - New Orleans, and a JD from Tulane University.
