IC20-DES
The IC20-DES (Data Encryption Standard) offers one of the highest levels of privacy. This module features a custom form factor to fit many popular styles of Icom radios. The scrambler is a plug-in style, which makes for easy installation.
The IC20-DES is simple to install, requires very low power to operate and offers excellent voice quality. The IC20-DES offers Continuous Synchronization, which permits a user to join secure communication after coding has been initiated. The Automatic Receive Option allows for automatic detection of both clear and coded communication modes. The Disable Radio Function can make the radio unable to receive or transmit messages, preventing breaches in communications security. In addition, the IC20-DES does not affect the use of a system's sub-audible signaling options, such as transparent operation through repeaters.
