Training Overview

EFJohnson Technologies invites you to explore the wide range of training courses available to you. Most of our training courses can be offered at your site or at our Training Center in Irving (Dallas), Texas.

Our Technical Training Center is located at 1440 Corporate Drive in Irving, Texas. The facility includes modern, well-equipped classrooms and laboratories to support hands-on training. Our instructors have extensive training and experience in radio telecommunications.

On-Site Training

In addition to the regularly scheduled courses conducted at our Technical Training Center, most of the courses offered in this catalog can be conducted on site. Please refer to the On-Site Course section to see which courses are offered on site.

Courses can also be customized to meet specific customer training requirements. For on-site training, the customer must provide the facility, and any tools and equipment needed to support the hands-on portion of the training.

On-site training is coordinated through the Training department, who will quote prices and availability. On-site training typically requires 60 – 90 days lead time to schedule.

Course Pricing

The prices listed for on-site training in the continental United States includes materials for a maximum of 10 students and the instructor’s travel and living expenses. On-site training typically requires 2 to 3 months lead time to schedule. For on-site training outside the continental United States, please contact the Training Department for a quote.

Training modules will be conducted in day entities. Travel considerations are built into this model and assume the training days are consecutive. Add the total number of consecutive training days requested to calculate the on-site training cost.

On-Site Training Costs

This chart assumes consecutive training days. Maximum 10 students per course.

Training courses that are not consecutive (back-to-back) will require more than one trip. In this case, use 1 day as the starting point for additional training days.

Example: customer requests 2 two-day training courses.

Scenario 1: 2 two-day consecutive training courses (4 days = $10,300)

Scenario2: 2 two-day non consecutive training courses (2 days $6,300 + 2 days $6,300 = $12,600)

Training can be scheduled for up to 10 consecutive training days. In this case the instructor would stay at the travel location over the weekend. If training requires longer than 10 training days, the instructor will travel home and return to the site at another date. Day 1 will be the starting point again to complete the required days.

Example: training modules equal 14 days of training. Training cost would be $34,000. (10 days training; $23,700 + 4 days training, $10,300 = $34,000)

In-House/Resident Training

Training courses that are offered at our EFJohnson Technologies corporate location will be billed at $500 per person, per day. Each course requires a collective minimum of 4 students. In many cases we can meet the minimum obligation by adding internal EFJohnson Technologies students. Courses and schedules will be posted on an as-needed basis.
